Dentist Near Lenox Hill

Convenient Access from Lenox Hill

The 65th Street Transverse turns a cross-park trip into a short one, which is why Columbus Park Dental works well for anyone seeking a dentist near Lenox Hill. We are on West 72nd Street on the Upper West Side of Manhattan, directly across Central Park from the southern blocks of the East Side. From Hunter College the drive is about 5 minutes in light traffic, and two crosstown buses connect the neighborhoods as well.

Leaving Hunter College at East 68th Street and Lexington Avenue, drive one block east on 68th, turn south on Lexington Avenue and head west on East 66th Street, which feeds into the 65th Street Transverse. After crossing the park, go north on Central Park West and turn west onto West 72nd Street. The full trip is about 1.4 miles, though rush hour can add a good deal of time. You will find us at 40 W 72nd St Ste B, between Central Park West and Columbus Avenue.

Transit riders can take the M72 from East 72nd Street and Lexington Avenue, or from its westbound stops on Fifth Avenue, to West 72nd Street at Central Park West or Columbus Avenue, right beside the office. The M66 is another choice, running from East 67th Street and Lexington Avenue to West 66th Street at Central Park West, about a third of a mile south of us. Get directions on Google Maps. We also welcome patients from the wider Upper East Side and Yorkville.

Lenox Hill, Between Fifth and Lexington

Lenox Hill forms the southern part of the Upper East Side. The Encyclopedia of New York City places it between 60th and 77th Streets, from Fifth Avenue to Lexington Avenue, though many residents use the name for blocks farther east too. It sits in Community Board 8, in Manhattan (New York County), with Midtown East just to the south.

The name comes from Robert Lenox, a Scottish merchant who once owned about 30 acres here. His son James subdivided and developed the land in the 1860s and 1870s. Today Lenox Hill is known for luxury residences from the 1910s and 1920s, with boutiques, galleries and hotels along Park and Lexington Avenues.

Much of the neighborhood's western half lies within the Upper East Side Historic District, designated by the city in 1981. Two of the neighborhood's best-known institutions stand about a block apart. The Park Avenue Armory fills the full block between Park and Lexington Avenues from East 66th to 67th Street, and it was built in 1877 to 1880 for the 7th New York Militia Regiment. Nearby, Hunter College, a public CUNY college established in 1870, keeps the area busy with students and faculty.

The Frick Collection rounds out the list of Lenox Hill landmarks. Between museum visits, classes and office hours, Lenox Hill residents keep full calendars, and a dental visit has to fit around them.

The 68 St-Hunter College station on the 6 sits right by campus, with an elevator at the northeast corner of 68th Street and Lexington Avenue, according to the MTA. The 6 does not reach the West Side, though, so the crosstown buses are the simpler way to reach us without a car.

Polished Smiles and Practical Care in Lenox Hill

Dental goals vary from one Lenox Hill household to the next. Some want routine cleanings and a reliable team for the years ahead. Others are interested in refining their smile, straightening teeth discreetly or exploring facial aesthetics alongside dental care. Our practice offers all of these at one West Side address.

Aesthetic treatment goes beyond the teeth here. Therapeutic injectables are part of our in-house range, and our facial rejuvenation services extend that care to the face. New patients without insurance can book a Free Facial Rejuvenation Consultation to talk through options before deciding on anything.

For the teeth themselves, veneers, crowns and Invisalign® cover most cosmetic goals. New patients can schedule a Free Cosmetics & Smile Makeover Consultation, and uninsured new patients can request a Free Invisalign® Consultation. Because cosmetic procedures are not covered by insurance, our team lays out costs clearly at the start.

Timing matters for Hunter College students and staff and for professionals along Park Avenue. Tuesday and Friday appointments begin at 8:00 AM, Wednesday and Thursday at 9:00 AM, and Monday at 10:00 AM with hours until 6:00 PM. A morning visit can be over before a first class or meeting.

Aesthetic and Everyday Care at a Dentist Near Lenox Hill

  • Therapeutic Injectables

Injectable treatments are offered in-house as part of our wider aesthetic care. Lenox Hill patients can discuss them during a consultation without visiting a separate clinic.

  • Cosmetic Dentistry

Whitening, veneers and smile makeovers improve the look of your teeth. Planning starts with a conversation about what you want to change.

  • Invisalign®

Clear aligners straighten teeth with little impact on daily appearance, which suits busy professionals and students. The trays come out for meals and brushing.

  • Cleanings & Exams

Preventive visits keep teeth and gums healthy and protect any cosmetic work you already have. An early slot works well before a day on the East Side.

  • Endodontics

Root canal therapy can save a tooth with a deep infection. It is performed in-house, so treatment stays with the team that knows your history.

Frequently Asked Questions

How far is Columbus Park Dental from Lenox Hill, and how do I get there?

The drive from Hunter College is about 1.4 miles and takes roughly 5 minutes in light traffic. You follow Lexington Avenue and East 66th Street into the 65th Street Transverse, then Central Park West to West 72nd Street. Patients choosing a dentist near Lenox Hill can also ride the M72 from East 72nd Street and Lexington Avenue to a stop beside our office.

Can I combine cosmetic dentistry and facial rejuvenation in one plan?

Yes. Cosmetic dentistry, therapeutic injectables and facial rejuvenation are all offered at our office, so one team can plan care for your smile and face together. New patients without insurance can start with a Free Facial Rejuvenation Consultation. Because insurance does not cover cosmetic procedures, we go over the costs with you before any treatment begins.

Can I see a specialist without being referred to another office?

In many cases, yes. Our team includes Dr. Jason Cho, a board-certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon, and Dr. Salar Ebrahimi, a dentist anesthesiologist who provides sedation in our in-office anesthesia suite. Root canal treatment is performed here, and a visiting pediatric dentist sees children. That keeps oral surgery, sedation, root canals and children's visits at the same address as your regular checkups.

Do you have a dentist who focuses on cosmetic work?

Yes. Founder Dr. Sidak Singh is a restorative and cosmetic dentist whose general practice residency at Interfaith Medical Center had a cosmetic and restorative focus. He and our other dentists plan whitening, veneers, crowns and Invisalign® cases. New patients can book a Free Cosmetics & Smile Makeover Consultation to discuss goals before committing to treatment.

Which treatments does the CPD Dental Plan leave out?

The plan excludes whitening, Invisalign® and specialist visits. What it does include is preventive care: two cleanings and two exams a year on the $750 CPD tier, plus 10% off treatment with our general dentists. Each plan is valid for one year. Cosmetic goals such as veneers can be financed separately through Sunbit instead.
